What Punt X is
Punt X reads every football match before kickoff and tells you how likely each result is. The numbers are our own, worked out from hundreds of thousands of past matches. We never just copy a bookmaker's odds.
On top of that, Punt X can build a slip for you and turn it into a booking code for your bookmaker, check a code you already have, and follow every score as it happens.
Our numbers are estimates, never guarantees. A 70% pick still loses about three times in ten. Punt X is for adults 18 and over.
Reading our numbers
Every prediction is a chance out of 100. Home 58% means that if this match were played 100 times, we'd expect the home side to win about 58 of them.
- The highest number is our call. On the Matches screen it's shown next to each match, in green.
- Close numbers mean a close match. Home 38%, Draw 30%, Away 32% is a match we think could go any way.
- Predictions are locked before kickoff. Nothing is changed once the match starts, and every pick is checked against the final score afterwards.
The Matches screen
Your home screen. Every match of the day, grouped by league, biggest competitions first.
- Days: slide back to see results, or ahead for what's coming.
- Market tabs: switch between 1X2, double chance, goals, both teams to score and more. Each match then shows our call for that market.
- Favourite leagues: tap Add to star the leagues you follow. They move to the top.
- Search: find any team or league.
- Any match: tap it for the full prediction, form, line-ups, the table and news.
Upset watch
Some favourites are easier to beat than they look. When we spot one, the match page shows an Upset watch note and tells you why in plain words: the underdog keeps beating what we expected of them, they have a good record against this team, or the favourite has been falling short lately.
Favourites with this note have won about 58% of the time, against 64% without it. It tells you a favourite is more beatable, not who will win.
Live scores
Matches being played show their score and clock right on the matches board, and update as goals go in.
- Tap a match for its line-ups, goals and cards, and the key stats.
- Each match also shows which TV channel is showing it in your country.
Top picks
The strongest calls of the week across every market, strongest first.
- Dates: Next 7 days, Today, Tomorrow, the Weekend, or pick your own dates.
- Confidence: show only picks at 55%, 65%, 75% or 85% and above.
- On bookmakers only (on by default) hides matches bookmakers don't list, so anything you pick can go into a booking code.
- Tap Add to put a pick on your slip.
SlipForge
Tell us what you want and we build the slip, check every match on your bookmaker, and give you a booking code.

- Choose by number of games or by target odds. We build to the real price on your bookmaker with the fewest games we can, because every extra game is another way to lose. The lower the target, the more often the slip lands, but even 2 odds lands only about 1 time in 2.
- Want more than a level usually gives? Tap the odds figure and type your own, for example 30 on Safe. The picks stay just as safe; the slip simply takes more games to get there, never more than 25.
- Each pick comes with one line saying why it's there, and the slip tells you how often slips like it land.
- Picks with a high upset risk are left out: a tired or overworked favourite, a team that keeps falling short lately, a league where favourites slip more than usual. The match offers a safer pick instead, or sits out.
- If a match can't be booked, we suggest a replacement and ask you first. We never shorten your slip without saying so.
- Some matches are always left out: ones that have started, ones your bookmaker doesn't list, and cup ties between clubs from different divisions, which we can't compare well yet.
My slips
Every slip you save, checked against the final scores, so you can see how each one did. If a match moves to a new date, your pick moves with it. If it's called off, the pick drops out after three days, as it does on most bookmakers.
SlipTune
Already have a booking code, from a friend or a tipster? Load it and see how each pick reads by our numbers before you play it.
- Each pick gets our chance next to the bookmaker's odds, so weak picks stand out.
- Picks we can't judge are listed with the reason: the match has started, we don't cover it, or we don't rate that kind of bet.
- Picks that are closed on the bookmaker stay on the list marked Closed, so nothing disappears without a word.
- Ask for a stronger version and SlipTune suggests which picks to keep for the risk and odds you want.
- Make picks safer is off by default, so your picks are kept as they are. Turn it on and a weak pick can be swapped for a safer version of the same bet, such as a win becoming a double chance. Every swap is shown before you get the code.
Convert a code
- Bookmaker to bookmaker: paste a code from one bookmaker and get the same slip on another.
- Text or image: paste the matches as text, or add an image of a slip, and we turn it into a booking code. Correct scores and each bookmaker's own bets come across too.
Bookmakers
We make booking codes for SportyBet, Bet9ja, BetKing, Betano, MSport, betPawa, Betika, SportPesa, 22Bet, Afropari, Hollywoodbets and Football.com. A bookmaker marked Not available at the moment can't be reached right now; pick another for the time being.
Notifications
We keep them few and useful:
- One note a day with the day's predictions, the big matches and how yesterday's picks did.
- Matches you follow: tap Notify me on a match for a reminder before kickoff and the result after.
- Your starred leagues: at most one kick-off note every few hours, never one per match.
Turn any of them off in Profile > Notifications.
